2014 Jeff Gaier Retires PhotoMARCH 13: Wrestling Coach Jeff Gaier Announces his Retirement!
After 29 years as Moeller head wrestling coach, Jeff Gaier announced his retirement from coaching wrestling on Wednesday morning in a school news release. Gaier had three state runner-up teams at Moeller including 2007, 2001 and 2000. His teams had 15 state top-10 team finishes. The Crusaders had 71 individual state placers including 12 state champions. Moeller had 153 state qualifiers during his 29 years. Gaier is director of Moeller's Information Technology Center. IN THE NEWS: Crusaders' Loss Won't Diminish Legacy

CINCINNATI, OH – The heartbreaking defeat will stay with Moeller basketball players for some time, but Crusaders Coach Carl Kremer said it should not tarnish the accomplishments of his 2013-14 team. Top-ranked Moeller lost a 62-61 stunner to Trotwood-Madison in the Ohio Division I regional basketball finals Friday night at Xavier's Cintas Center, after the Crusaders led by 16 points in the fourth quarter. From Coach Carl Kremer: Some good news about a couple of our alums: Danny Maehlman, a 1992 grad, coached Jonesboro High School to the 4A Georgia State Basketball Championship last night. This was the school’s first-ever state title! Danny has been teaching and coaching there for many years.
