Jim Balbach is a member of the Moeller class of 1977. During his four years, he assisted in many school liturgies, as well as special events for the resident brothers, which were held in the school chapel.

After Graduation, Jim attended the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and received his Bachelors degree in music education in 1981. He took the full-time position of Music Director at St. John's Church in Deer Park, and taught in the school for several years.  In August of 2006, he was hired as Music Director at St. Saviour Parish in Rossmoyne, Ohio.

Jim joined the Moeller faculty in 1997, and teaches in the Fine Arts Department. An avid lover of choral music, he also is the Moeller Men's Chorus Director. Jim is the choral/vocal director for the annual spring musicals, a position he has held since 1992. He also coordinates and takes part in all school liturgies.

In his free time, Jim enjoys long walks, gardening, reading, and listening to music, each in moderate doses.
