This course examines the concepts of prayer and worship. At the heart of the course is an analysis of symbols, rituals, and liturgical practices. The course studies the impact of the seven sacraments in the Catholic tradition and a comparative study of major world religions in regard to belief and worship. The course concludes with a study of the communal aspect of prayer and worship and how these aspects of spiritual life call us toward our Christian mission. This is a quarter course and serves as a introduction into the morality course.

| All homework assignments must be in on the assigned date. (unless absent) Failure to do so will result in a zero for the assignment. Any major assignments not turned in on time will be scored as a zero. If you are absent, send your project or paper with a friend or parent or have your parents call me at score. Failure to do so will result in a zero. All major projects will be typed. NO EXCEPTION. Proper behavior is expected and demanded. Respect for others is the cornerstone of our class. Proper dress and adherence to the Student Handbook will be followed. You are to act as a true Man of Moeller. |
