Junior Religion-Symbols and Morality

This course examines the concepts of prayer and worship.  At the heart of the course is an analysis of symbols, rituals, and liturgical practices.  The course studies the impact of the seven sacraments in the Catholic tradition and a comparative study of major world religions in regard to belief and worship.  The course concludes with a study of the communal aspect of prayer and worship and how these aspects of spiritual life call us toward our Christian mission.  This is a quarter course and serves as a introduction into the morality course.
