Bob Crable is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio. I grew up in Deer Park as the third child of Joan and Jack Crable. I have an older brother, Rick, and an older sister, Ann. I have two younger sisters, Peg and Sue, and two younger brothers, Bill (Moe '85) and Jeff (Moe '90).

I married the former Lisa Schnicke in 1981, prior to my senior year at Notre Dame. We have four children, Amy (19), Brian (15), Allison (12), and Matthew (6). 

I am a 1978 graduate of Moeller High School. I was heavily involved in athletics and received a football scholarship to the University of Notre Dame. I graduated from Notre Dame in 1982. I played in the National Football League from 1982-1988 with the New York Jets. I returned to Moeller as an assistant football coach in 1992 as I continued my education in trying to obtain certification to teach theology from the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. I became a part time teacher in 1993-94, teaching Christology and Church History to Sophomores. I became a full-time teacher in 1994-95 and I have taught every level of theology class in my tenure at Moeller. Currently, I teach Juniors a  World Religions and Morality class and this is my first year teaching Freshmen a Hebrew Scriptures class. I'm very excited about this new opportunity to get to know the young men as they enter Moeller and see them develop into true "Men of Moeller."

I have recently been chosen as the fourth head coach of the Moeller football team.  This is a great honor for me since the men who have come before me are such fine human beings, as well as great football coaches.  My only promise is to try to make the best "Men of Moeller" of every young man within the football program and within my classroom.  I believe that the game of football is a great way to teach the lessons of life.  Our Christian beliefs are part of these life lessons.  I hope to say that I have treated every young man whom I teach and coach as I would my own son.
