World History

World Cultures CP1 is a survey course that integrates European and American history from the Renaissance through modern times. The course will combine particular aspects of Western European civilization in conjunction with other world cultures.  The course has its roots in American and European history from 1850 to the present.  Emphasis in the course will be placed on the following subjects: modern American and European history, cultural perspectives and interactions amongst peoples, geography, economics, as well as government and citizenship. The primary method for the acquisition of knowledge will be historical investigation.
