English IV is literature course that is composed of thematic units grounded in the study of World Literature. It is also a writing course that emphasizes individual student writing.  The course incorporates the skills of reading/literary study, writing, listening, and speaking. It also reviews the conventions and mechanics of written English, which is the appropriate and effective application of English grammar, logical organization, and the effective use of vocabulary.
