Theater Appreciation is a one quarter course designed to be part of the Fine Arts Program. The course presents a broad view of theater production from its preparation to performance. It specifically discusses the play, the playwright. the actor, the designer and the director. While each of these elements will be discussed, a substantial portion of the course focuses on the actor as an indispensable element of any production. Along with the above, the history of the theater will be presented in brief outline form. The course is intended to be an enrichment course, beneficial to students from all backgrounds.
