May 15/16 - Sophomores - read this intro first!!

What you're about to read is an anti-Catholic "tract."

It attempts to say that all Catholics are going to hell, in the author's opinion.

It is full of errors, mistakes, mis-statements, and misquotes that we will expose in class next time.  Please do not think that you should agree with the statements he makes.  He seems to develop an interesting argument, but it's not even close to truth.

You'll come out of this experience with an understanding of
a) how personal interpretation of scripture is dangerous
b) how far some lies go to try and convert Catholics
c) how important context is when reading scripture

See if you can use what we've already discussed in class to write a short rebuttal to a few comments in this tract.  If not, at least familiarize yourself with the author's main attacks - and pay close attention to his (mis-)use of scripture.

Class next time will be a fun ride.  Please don't miss it.     -MrK
