Copies of the Discipline Plan are posted in the classroom, and a presentation is given to all students at the beginning of the year.
General Classroom Rules
¨Enter the classroom quietly and on time.
¨Sit and remain quietly in assigned seat.
¨Have all materials ready to use.
¨Listen respectfully to instructor and classmates.
¨Remain in your seat until the bell rings.
¨No food or drinks allowed. Water bottles (clear) are acceptable.
¨Do not swear…in any language.
Conduct Rules: (Applicable to class, House activities, and M-block)

Per Moeller guidelines, M-block must maintain a quiet, library-like atmosphere conducive to studying and sharing House activities.

Students are expected to manage M-block time wisely by participating in activities, completing daily homework/OGT assignments. |

Inappropriate chanting and gratuitous yelling are prohibited and will result in swift, severe action by Code of Misconduct Report. Parents will be contacted.

Water and Bathroom trips will be allowed until the privilege is abused.*

Wandering the halls is prohibited. |

If another teacher complains about a student's hallway behavior, that student will receive a no-questions-asked Code of Misconduct Report. Parents will be contacted.

To meet a teacher during M-block,

Forward or cc Mrs. Gallagher a TIMELY copy of the e-mail from the teacher expecting you.

Timely e-mails will be forwarded to the day's Mentor if necessary. |

Students not providing a timely e-mail will have to clear the meeting after attendance at discretion of the Mentor.

Students may go to the ITC/Library according to Library/ITC guidelines.

If a student is sent back to class or M-block for being disruptive, the student will receive a no-questions-asked Code of Misconduct Report. Parents will be contacted.

Student will no longer be allowed to visit the ITC/Library during class or M-block for the remainder of the year.

Verbal Warnings

Written Theme- minimum of 2 pages.
- Due to Mrs. Gallagher in Room 325 the next morning by 8:00 a.m.

Action Plan sheet- kept beginning with the first disciplinary action.
- When necessary, student will complete the full Action Plan and obtain signatures. (See form below.)

Detention will occur with:
- Failure to submit required Written Theme prior to the deadline.
- Repeated infractions.
- Multitasking during an Internet assignment.
- Having the computer out at an inappropriate time during class.
- Three (3) unexcused late assignments or tardies.
- Serious infraction of Classroom Rules.
¨ Parents will be notified of each detention via the web site connection at Net Classroom.
- A "0" contains a comment explaining the infraction.
- An "X " on NetMoeller means Exempt student not involved in the infraction.

Serving Detention
- Detentions earned Monday through Thursday run 3:00 to 3:40 on the Friday following the infraction, regardless of any other commitments such as sports practice. If you are a Junior or Senior with early dismissal, you must make arrangements to remain at school until 3:40. "If you can't do the time, don't do the crime."
- Detentions earned on a Friday are served the following Friday.
- It is the responsibility of the student to remember to attend.

Report of Misconduct slip will occur with:
- Failure to serve a detention.
- Continued problem behavior despite signed Action Plan.
- Two (2) prior DT's.
- Gross infraction of classroom or school rules.
- Insubordination (back talk, disrespect, swearing, etc.).
