Jim Balbach is a member of the Moeller Class of 1977. He was accepted at the University of

Cincinnati College - Conservatory of Music the following fall, where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Music Education, with an emphasis in choral activities.

Immediately following college graduation in June of 1981, Jim became a full-time music director at St. John the Evangelist Church in Deer Park, where he had played the organ on a part-time basis since June of 1972. He also taught music in the grade school for the next three school years.

Jim has been at Moeller since the 1997-98 school year, which marked his first year teaching in the Fine Arts department at Moeller. The organization of a Men's Choral group also was born at that time. But Jim is no stranger to the Moeller Family. He has held the post of vocal director for the annual Spring Musicals since the spring of 1992.

When not a church or school, you may find Jim doing one of several activities.

Gardening in his yard, or at St. John's Church.

Helping with the violin instruction of his son, John, born in 1987.

Browsing through travel brochures and dreaming of warmer climates for his years in retirement in some thirty years.
