Testing and graduation requirements in Ohio are changing for high school students. The Ohio Ninth-Grade Proficiency Tests are being phased out and replaced with the new Ohio Graduation Tests (OGT). The new tests are aligned to Ohio's new Academic Content Standards, which were adopted by the State Board of Education. They measure content learned through the end of 10th grade in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. A model for developing mastery of concepts for the OGT has been formulated to prepare our students for the testing. Sessions in this model will include: instruction, practice & review, mastery, evaluation, and feedback. These sessions will be held frequently for both freshmen and sophomores. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the OGT, please contact: Mike Rakel, Dean of Academics, at 791-1680,ext. 130, or send email to mrakel@moeller.org.
