MOELLER’s HOUSE SYSTEM
Implemented fall 2005
Purpose: Pastoral Care, Leadership & Community Development
The primary purpose of the House System is to further the mission of the school by providing greater pastoral care to all our students while strengthening our sense of community. The system will also enable us to proactively develop each student’s leadership skills.
Goals:
• To ensure individual care by providing each student with at least two adults — a House Dean and a House Mentor — who will monitor and support the academic, social, spiritual, and behavioral growth of each student
• To strengthen the bonds of the Moeller Family Spirit among the 9th-12th grade divisions in the school family
• To create opportunities for all seniors to be trained and to serve as leaders
• To provide more leadership opportunities for underclassmen
• To strengthen each student’s interpersonal relationship skills
• To enhance the Family Spirit within the Moeller school community
