Best Practices

Home Internet Setup
Listed below are instructions for setting your laptops up for use at home with Zoomtown or Road Runner.  Please save these instructions, so you can refer to them later.  Moeller is not able to support home internet access, however these instructions are provided to help you get started.

Home Settings
Open Internet Explorer
Click Tools
Click Internet Options
Click on the Connections Tab
Click the Lan Settings Button
UnCheck the box Use a Proxy Server

Moeller Settings
Open Internet Explorer
Click Tools
Click Internet Options
Click on the Connections Tab
Click the Lan Settings Button
Mark the box Use a Proxy Server
Put 10.1.1.1 in the address box
Put 8080 in the Port box
Mark the box Bypass Proxy Server for Local Addresses

Anti-Virus
Sophos Anti-Virus is install on all Laptops and continually runs in the background while the laptop is in use. This software must be updated regularly to guard against new viruses. 

When logging on to the network, if you receive a message asking to "Upgrade to a more recent version of Sophos" you must click "Yes". The upgrade take approximately  5-10 minutes, but you may continue to use the laptop while it is upgrading.
