Moeller Activists for Community Housing / MACH 1

Almost every Saturday morning, students and faculty gather at Moeller and travel to Over-the-Rhine to rehab a few buildings in the neighborhood. These buildings are restored to make a good living space again for individuals and families in need.  Please see Mr. Morowski for sign-up sheets.

Unified for UNIFAT / Invisible Children

Started as a student initiative a few years ago, Unified for UNIFAT now includes four local high schools united to giving aid to support the children of the UNIFAT grade school in Uganda.  The school provides a good education and all the basic needs for its students.  Northern Uganda has been decimated for 20 years due to a civil war, and many children have been forced to become soldiers. The aim of Unified for UNIFAT and Invisible Children is to do whatever can be done to alleviate some of the suffering of the children of that country.  Different events will be held during the year to raise awareness as well as funds for these programs.  Please see Mrs. Ring for more details.

Youth Philanthropy Council

The Youth Philanthropy Council is back!  Last year the council was formed to teach students about the value of charity and giving through a series of classes at Xavier University and through action by reviewing grant proposals then awarding money to make those plans happen. We will be looking for new members for the council this year and look forward to another productive year of learning and giving.  Look for applications on this site soon.
