Orientation Information
Dear Parents and Students, Class of 2014:
Welcome to the Moeller Family. You are one of 245 families who will be entering Moeller for the first time this year. Mr. Collison and I join the entire faculty and staff in offering our support to help make this the best possible experience for you.
Enclosed is information regarding several areas of interest to you as you begin the new school year. One of these areas, the mandatory freshman orientation program, is extremely important in setting a positive tone for the next four years. The orientation will be a good experience and will be very informative for students and parents.
To facilitate your back to school shopping, we included a copy of the Moeller dress code with this mailing. The “alternate dress code” will apply for the start of the school year. Also, please note there is not a school supply list. Each student should bring a notebook and pen for each class. The individual teachers will inform the students of what they’ll need for their class. All freshmen are assigned a locker and if they choose to use it, locks must be purchased in the school spirit shop for $6.
There are three forms enclosed: Health History Update (pink) and Math Intervention Services (green), and a Student Profile (yellow). Please send these completed forms with your son to orientation.
Also enclosed is a letter from the English Department outlining your son’s summer reading requirement. The books are available in the Main Office (they will have class lists), which is open 8 AM till noon, Monday through Friday.
You are becoming part of a great tradition of Marianist education at one of the best Catholic high schools in the country. We look forward to working with you over the next four years.
