GRUB DAY
The purpose of Grub Day is to raise money for the Direct Tuition Assistance Program. The money raised will help one or more students who qualify for tuition assistance and meet the cost of tuition to attend Moeller. Our goal this year is to raise $8,650. This is the amount equal to one year’s tuition.
Remember, Grub Day is a euphemism for “relaxed dress code.” It’s our day to relax our dress code, just a bit, to raise money for a good cause and add some variety to a few of our school days.
Appropriate clothing for Grub Day is:
Sweatshirts (hooded or regular) and school shirts jerseys, sweaters and t-shirts
School pants, bell bottoms, golf pants, jeans, corduroys, sweatpants and shorts
gym shoes and boots
Inappropriate clothing for Grub Day is:
anything referring to drugs, alcohol, sex, or gang related
sleeveless, cut off or ripped or torn clothing of any sort, or sleepwear
clogs, sandals, earrings, hats, sunglasses, wigs, masks, slippers
Grub Day passes will go on sale in Mentor Group two days before the actual Grub Day. You may get a Grub Day pass on the first and second day for a $1 donation. On Grub Day itself you may get a pass for a $2 donation.
All donations above the minimum amounts stated above are welcomed. Please remember the worthy cause and the benefits that will be shared with students who truly need tuition assistance.
