About the Theatre Program

Moeller's Theatre Program consists of three major productions, and various performance and technical workshops. The three major productions are 1) the fall drama, 2) the winter improvisational show, 3) the spring musical. The program is open to all freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. While the male participants must all come from Moeller High School, the female participants can come from any school or educational background, provided they are of high school age. Participation in the program includes both the performance and the technical aspects of theatre production.

The Theatre Program is supported by a large group of adult theatre professionals who work closely with the students to give them the best possible training. Again, this includes both the performance and technical aspects.

It is important to note that Moeller Theatre is a program and not a club. There are no actual "members." It is not a repertory company in that sense. Rather it is production based, and involvement differs from production to production. This allows students who are involved in other activities, such as sports, to participate as their schedules permit. That being stated there are obviously students whose principal interest is theatre, and who regularly participate in the program.
