German Honor Society

Contact Mrs. Linda Zins-Adams

The following students of German have met the criteria to be members of "Delta Epsilon Phi", which is the National German Honor Society. To be eligible for induction, students must have completed three semesters of German with a 3.5 grade point average in German and have an overall grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

These students are also eligible to apply for the "Käthe Wilson Scholarship". The scholarship winner will participate in the AATG Summer Study Program for High School Students, spending three weeks in Germany living with a host family, attending classes at a Gymnasium, and participating in excursions. The award includes program costs and international airfare from the departure city.

If students continue with their studies in German for the full four years at Moeller High School, they will receive an honor cord to wear at graduation. The honor cord recognizes them for their efforts to become more globally attuned. Linda Zins-Adams, the German teacher, started a new chapter in 2014 at Moeller High School. Each year, students partake in an induction ceremony that follows this script and inducted students serve as tutors for others in the lower levels.
