Ross Invite Results....Week Seven Update

The regular season concluded for the Moeller Cross Country Team on Saturday, October 10^th, 2020 with the Ross Invitational held at Ross High School in Hamilton, Ohio. The Varsity squad finished 4^th of 18 teams with 120 points.

Crossing the line first for the Crusaders was Jameson Maynes ’22 in 3^rd place in a time of 16:56 (out of 134 runners). Also scoring: Cannon Spelman ’21 (4^th – 17:00), Grant Prather ’22 (29^th – 17:54), Sebastian Rahe ’23 (38^th – 18:05), and Luke DiCristoforo ’22 (51^st – 18:23). Finishing out for the Varsity squad: James Flege ’24, Eli Smiddy ’22, and Sam Cline ’22.

In the JV race, that squad finished 5^th of 10 teams with 143 points. Jake Karulf ’24 was Moeller’s top finisher in that race in 18^th place with a time of 18:49 (out of 116 runners). Also scoring were Colin Swallender ’24, Logan Mitchell ’22, Alex Longwell ’22, and Ben Hagerty ’23.

There was no team scoring for the Open race, but Moeller’s top finisher there was Thomas Miller ’23 in 36^th place with a time of 21:46 (out of 62 runners).

The post-season now begins with the GCL South Championship (and GGCL) at Moeller’s home course...Christ’s Church Mason, in Mason, Ohio on Saturday, October 17^th, 2020. The Freshmen squad will compete at 8:30am, Varsity and JV squads will run a combined race at 9:30am, followed by the Open race at 10:00am. Unfortunately, under COVID guidelines, only parents are permitted to attend. We wish all the other fall sports good luck the remainder of this season.
