Jason comes to Moeller with an impressive background in healthcare leadership, having spent the last several years driving innovation and building strong teams at such companies as Trilogy Health Services in Kentucky and TriHealth here in Cincinnati. He earned his MBA from the University of Notre Dame, and his expertise in organizational management, strategic planning, and fostering mission-driven cultures will be instrumental in guiding Moeller into an exciting new chapter. He has also served on the boards at Mount St. Joseph University and Seton Catholic School in Hudson, OH, further demonstrating his dedication to Catholic education and community service.

A proud alumnus of Moeller, Class of 1993, Jason is no stranger to the school’s legacy of excellence – his father, Bob Niehaus, being a graduate of the Class of 1965. Reflecting on his new role, he shared, “Returning to Moeller is deeply personal for me. This school helped to shape my values, my character, and my faith. I am humbled and honored to lead this extraordinary community, and I look forward to building on its rich tradition and continuing the momentum that has been building over the last decade.”In his role as president, Jason is committed to advancing Moeller’s Mission – Catholic. Marianist. Forming our Students into Remarkable Men – and supporting faculty and staff. He looks to ensure that every student has the tools to grow academically, spiritually, and personally.

"I try to create challenges for my students. The pace of a college course is demanding and requires setting priorities. This is different for a more mature-college age student than it is for a high school student. I add problems that relate to what topic they are covering in their module, but require more thought (the critical thinking piece). This is in addition to the labs and related tasks that each student has to complete. During class time, I highly encourage the students to work with each other. This is not simply copying from one another, but explaining to each other. I have found that sometimes someone else can better explain something than I and I encourage this."
