The Crusader Cross Country Team was back in action this weekend with the Lebanon Warrior Invitational on Saturday, September 1st, 2018 at Lebanon High School, where the Varsity squad finished 11th of 22 teams with 314 points.
Under soft course conditions, Moeller’s top finisher this week was Cannon Spelman ’21 in 44th place (out of 191 runners) in a time of 18:14. Also scoring for Varsity was Jameson Maynes ’22 (49th – 18:20), Logan Mitchell ’22 (69th – 18:42), Dan Kunkel ’20 (85th – 18:50), and Joeh Coots ’21 (89th – 18:56). Rounding out the Varsity squad were Nick Eiben ’19, Joe Balint ’19, Brayden Zenni ’21, Grant Prather ’22, and Jon Stentz ’20.

In the JV/Open race, that squad finished 5th of 13 teams with 152 points. Moeller’s top finished in that race was Nathan Barger ’22 in 19th place (out of 306 runners) with a time of 19:18. Also scoring for that squad were Derek Konkoly ’21, Ian Hale ’20, Zach Skufca ’20, and Damien Crayton ’21.
Up next is the Mason Invitational on Saturday, September 8th, 2018 at Mason’s Corwin-Nixon Park. Varsity race is scheduled to begin at 10:30am. We thank everyone their support of our team thus far and wish all the other Moeller teams good luck this fall.
