Mason Invitational Results....Week Three Update

In a stacked and highly competitive meet, the Crusader Cross Country Team finished 11th of 14 teams with 310 points at the Mason Invitational hosted at Corwin-Nixon Park in Mason, Ohio on Saturday, September 12, 2020.

For the Varsity race, Senior Cannon Spelman was Moeller’s top finisher in 33rd place in 17:58 (out of 137 runners).  Also scoring:  Senior Will Mendel (56th – 18:24), Junior Grant Prather (88th – 19:03), Junior Jameson Maynes (89th – 19:15), and Senior Alex Rieth (90th – 19:20).   Rounding out Varsity were Eli Smiddy, Alex Longwell, Jake Karulf, Logan Mitchell, and Zach Colbert.

In the JV-A race, that squad finished 7th of 11 teams with 213 points.  Crossing the line first for Moeller was Freshman James Flege in 40th place (out of 131 runners) with a time of 19:44.  Also scoring were Colin Swallender, Derek Konkoly, Sam Cline, and Sam McCullough.  

In the JV-B race, that squad finished 4th of 10 teams with 129 points.  Crossing the line first for Moeller was Senior Michael Your in 49th place (out of 113 runners) with a time of 22:26.  Also scoring were Alex Weisgerber, Sam Rayburn, Michael Roncallo, and Thomas Miller.

The team returns to racing on Saturday, September, 19th, 2020, for the Milford Invitational at the Valley View Nature Preserve in Milford, Ohio.  The Varsity race is scheduled to begin at 8:00am.  Under COVID guidelines, only parents are permitted to attend.
