In another highly competitive meet with several State ranked teams, the Crusader Cross Country Team finished 4th of 15 teams with 127 points at the Mason Invitational hosted at Corwin-Nixon Park in Mason, Ohio on Saturday, September 6, 2025.
For the Varsity race, Senior Preston Wesley was Moeller’s top finisher in 9th place in 16:19 (out of 123 runners). Also scoring: Senior Brock Grubert (11th – 16:20), Senior Owen Speed (14th – 16:31), Sophomore Hayden Sorg (44th – 17:24), and Sophomore Luke Long (59th – 17:48). Rounding out Varsity were Paul Eckstein, Sam Sharpshair, Jake Jankowski, Zach Guthire, and Murphy Maynes.
In the JV/Open race, that squad finished 8th of 16 teams with 216 points. Crossing the line first for Moeller was Sophomore Logan Todd in 43rd place (out of 292 runners) with a time of 19:04. Also scoring were Keegan Hantak, Max Herzog, Andew Angeles, and Henry Tincher
The team returns to racing on Saturday, September, 13th, 2025, with a split squad with the Varsity “Gold” squad running in the Troy Twi-Light Invitational at Troy Stadium in Troy, Ohio with a 9:30pm start; while the Varsity “Blue” squad will be running at the St. Xavier Invitational at St. X High School with a 11am start.
