On tap this weekend for the Moeller Crusader Cross Country team was the Milford Invitational at Valley View Nature Preserve in Milford, Ohio on Saturday, September 14, 2019. The Varsity squad finished 7th of 20 teams with 215 points.
Moeller’s top finisher this week was Cannon Spelman ‘21 in 25th place with a time of 17:44 (out of 186 runners). Also scoring were Grant Prather ’22 (32nd – 17:53), Derek Konkoly ’21 (49th – 18:14), Thomas Zaugg ’20 (53rd – 18:20), and Jon Stentz ’20 (61st – 18:30). Rounding out the varsity squad were Will Mendel ’21, Logan Mitchell ’22, Zach Colbert ’22, Ian Hale ’20, and Alex Longwell ’22.
In the JV/Open race, that squad finished 4th out of 15 teams with 100 points. Leading Moeller in that race was Sebastian Rahe ’23 in 3rd place with a time of 18:37 (out of 246 runners). Also scoring were Sam Cline ’22, Ryan Mendoza ’21, Eli Smiddy ’22, and Marc Miracco ’21.
Coming up next on the schedule is the Midwest Catholic Championships on Saturday, September 21st, 2019 at Indian Riffle Park in Kettering, Ohio. Varsity race time is scheduled for 10:45am. Hope to see many of you there!
