Mason Invitational Results….Week Three Update

In a stacked and highly competitive meet, the Crusader Cross Country Team finished 5th of 26 teams with 200 points at the Mason Invitational hosted at Corwin-Nixon Park in Mason, Ohio on Saturday, September 9, 2023.

For the Varsity race, Senior Max Maney was Moeller’s top finisher in 17^th place in 16:32 (out of 227 runners). Also scoring: Senior Jacob Herzog (23^rd – 16:43), Sophomore Brock Grubert (48^th – 17:18), Sophomore Preston Wesley (53^rd – 17:24), and Sophomore Owen Speed (71^st – 17:46). Rounding out Varsity were Jake Karulf, James Flege, Finn Taylor, Colin Evans, and Colin Swallender.

In the JV/Open race, that squad finished 7^th of 19 teams with 210 points. Crossing the line first for Moeller was Sophomore Zach Lazor in 25^th place (out of 416 runners) with a time of 18:52. Also scoring were Jake Allen, Owen Brennan, Jacob Scott, and Ben Wallner.

The team returns to racing on Saturday, September, 16th, 2023, with a split squad with the Varsity “Gold” squad running at in the Trinity/Valkyrie Invitational at Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Kentucky with a 9:30am start; while the Varsity “Blue” squad will be running at the Friendship Invitational at Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio with a 9:00am start time.
