Ross Invite Results....Week Seven Update

The regular season concluded for the Moeller Cross Country Team on Saturday, October 7^th, 2023, with the Ross Invitational at Ross High School in Hamilton, Ohio with the team capturing first place out of 15 teams with 45 points.

Running Varsity and finishing first place was Senior Max Maney in a time of 16:18 (out of 111) runners. Also scoring were Senior Jacob Herzog (2^nd – 16:24), Sophomore Owen Speed (6^th – 16:51), Sophomore Brock Grubert (17^th – 17:14), and Sophomore Zach Lazor (19^th – 17:23). Rounding out the Varsity squad were Jake Karulf, Jake Allen, Steve Schuette, Finn Taylor, and Owen Brennan.

In the JV Race, that squad finished 2^nd of 8 teams with 71 points. Leading the way was Senior Colin Swallender in 7^th place (out of 168 runners) with a time of 18:26. Also scoring were Leo Tierney, Jacob Scott, Gavin Barry, and Ben Wallner.

The post-season now begins with the GCL South Championship at Moeller’s home course…Christ’s Church Mason, in Mason, Ohio on Saturday, October 14^th, 2023. The Varsity, JV, and Freshmen squads will run a combined race at 9:00am, followed by the Open race at 10:00am. Awards to follow at 11:00pm. The team would greatly appreciate having a blue/gold cheering section there on Saturday morning as we go up against our league rivals on all three levels. Thanks in advance for all your continued support of Moeller Cross Country, and good luck to all the other fall sports the remainder of their seasons.
