District Results....Week Nine Update

The OHSAA Division One Southwest Ohio District Cross Country Championships were held on October 21^st, 2023 at VOA Park in Westchester, Ohio where the Crusader team finished 3^rd of 16 teams in Race “B” with 100 points. With the top five teams advancing, Moeller’s team has earned a bid to Regionals next week, our second in a row.

Moeller’s top finisher was Senior Jacob Herzog who finished 9^th in 16:18 (out of 100 runners). Also scoring where Senior Max Maney (21^st – 16:44), Sophomore Preston Wesley (22^nd – 16:53), Sophomore Owen Speed (23^rd – 16:54), and Sophomore Brock Grubert (25^th – 16:59). Also finishing Varsity were Sophomores Zach Lazor and Jake Allen.

The District JV/Open race was contested on October 19^th, 2023 at Home of the Brack Park in Loveland, Ohio where that squad finished 6^th of 14 teams with 165 points. Top finisher for Moeller was Senior Jake Karulf in 27^th place with a time of 18:08 (out of 249 runners).

While the JV season has concluded, the Varsity season will continue with the OHSAA Region 4 Championship on Saturday, October 28^th, 2023 in Troy, Ohio. Race time will be 2:45pm. The top six teams and top twenty-four individuals will advance to State.
