LIVING FAITH

At Archbishop Moeller High School, Campus Ministry is the heart of our Marianist identity—fostering a community where faith is lived, shared, and deepened.

Rooted in the Marianist values of faith, community, mission, and service, our programs invite students to encounter Christ in meaningful ways through daily prayer, transformative retreats, acts of service, and intentional relationships. Whether gathered in the chapel, serving the community, or leading their peers in faith, Moeller students are formed to be servant leaders who live with purpose, compassion, and conviction.

MARIANIST IDENTITY

AS A MARIANIST SCHOOL, WE FOLLOW MARY'S EXAMPLE OF FAITH AND DISCIPLESHIP.

The Characteristics of Marianist Education guide our mission to form young men of character, compassion, and leadership. Moeller students grow as faith-filled individuals ready to serve the world.

RETREATS
“Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” (Mark 6:31)
These words of Jesus inspire Moeller’s four-year retreat program, giving students the opportunity to step away from daily life, reflect, and grow in faith. The freshman retreat is an overnight experience where students build bonds through games, group discussions, and fun led by senior student leaders. Sophomore retreats are house-based and led by juniors, seniors, deans, and counselors—fostering connection and shared spiritual reflection. The Spiritus retreat in junior year is a two-day retreat. Facilitated by college-aged leaders, students reflect on God's presence in their lives through immersive prayer and meaningful conversation. Seniors participate in Kairos, a four-day retreat focused on deepening their relationship with God and others. Led by peers and faculty, Kairos is a powerful and transformative capstone experience.
PRAYER LIFE AND LITURGY
Prayer is a daily rhythm at Moeller. The school day begins and ends with prayer, and the Holy Family Chapel is open every morning for student-led reflection. On Fridays at 7:30 a.m., the community gathers to pray the Rosary. Monthly all-school Masses are held in the gym to mark significant days in the Church and Moeller calendar, including All Saints Day, the Immaculate Conception, and Ash Wednesday. The Holy Family Chapel, renovated in 2019, offers a peaceful space for personal and communal prayer, class visits, and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
SERVICE
Service is a core part of life at Moeller. All students complete 65 hours before graduation. Many go beyond, earning recognition through the Moeller Service Award. Students serve with local partners like Ronald McDonald House, Brookdale Senior Living, and Matthew 25: Ministries, among many others. In addition to individual service, Moeller hosts all-school initiatives like the change race, the annual clothing drive, and class service days, where each grade dedicates a full day to hands-on service in the community. Inspired by Catholic social teaching, our students live out their call to justice, compassion, and action.
STUDENT LEADERSHIP AND FAITH OPPORTUNITIES
Juniors and seniors can join L.I.F.E. (Living in Faith Experience), a student-led faith group in partnership with Mount Notre Dame. Students also lead retreats, organize service, and offer peer support—building a vibrant and inclusive faith community.
RELIGIOUS STUDIES
Moeller’s religious studies program helps students understand their faith, ask big questions, and explore Catholic teachings in real-world contexts. Courses encourage thoughtful reflection, respectful dialogue, and spiritual growth.
